Director of Annual Giving Washington National Cathedral
What if we stopped thinking about fundraising as a secular activity and instead saw it as a part of our ministry? Faith-based organizations have a unique opportunity (and perhaps even obligation?) to come alongside donors as they seek to answer God's call to be generous. This session will explore what the bible says about giving and generosity, trends in faith-based fundraising, and how organizations are navigating emerging challenges and opportunities. Hear specific examples of how faith-based nonprofits are identifying potential major donors, identifying their ‘heart connection’ and inviting them to a meaningful major gift experience.
Learning Objectives:
Have a stronger baseline understanding of the state of faith-based philanthropy and fundraising trends.
Know how to collect and share powerful donor-impact stories
Understand how to steward potential donors through a giving experience that is meaningful to them and impactful to the organization.
