Pedro J Rivera, Esq. joined George Mason University in November 2022 as the Director of Development, University Priorities, with 20 years of diverse experience in donor relations, wealth management, development/fundraising, financial planning, and planned giving.
During his career, Pedro was a former board member of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC), where he served as the board sponsor of the GPHCC Latino Professional Mentoring Network. He is the Past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania and Region IV, Past President of the Hispanic National Bar Association. He received the HNBA Pro Bono of the Year Award in 2014. He currently sits on the board of Somos el Poder, a Latinx Fundraising Institute. He lectures on Estate Planning and Planned Giving topics nationwide.
Pedro received his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law and his B.S. degree in business administration from the University of South Florida. Pedro is a member of the District of Columbia, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the National Capital Planning Council, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and Somos el Poder, Latinx Fundraising Institute.
