Natalia Pierson

Associate Director, Prospect Management Research
Norfolk State University

Natalia Pierson, MSLS, currently serves as the Associate Director of Prospect Management and Research at Norfolk State University, where she currently enjoys digging into the potential of AI and data analytics to support her team of three fundraisers. Since starting at NSU in 2020, the Advancement Department has finished each year at least 50% over goal, and she credits AI and analytics with a large chunk of time-saving success, even if explaining how it works makes some of her team’s eyes glaze over. Before transitioning into higher ed, she spent several years at ChildFund International, first with the Grants & Contracts team and then as the Development Services’ Donor Researcher, specializing in corporate research. Ms. Pierson maintains a contract with ChildFund for Corporate Due Diligence work on her off hours. She loves playing high stat D&D characters with terrible rolls, pet sitting, and working on a second MS in Cyberpsychology when she should probably be sleeping.
