Founder & CEO
Game4Good
Dexter Carr Jr. has always been a gamer. Ever since he was a child he was hooked. Video games have been a passion of his and held a firm place in his life. No matter how busy he was, he always made time for gaming. Though it wasn’t just for entertainment, video games brought a lot of value into his life. Playing video games helped him make and maintain strong friendships, it was a place of comfort, escape, and a tool for learning, where practiced different hard and soft skills.
Besides being a gamer, Dexter also has a heart for giving. Charity and helping those in need have always been at the forefront of his mind. This was further cemented in his spiritual upbringing but also the philanthropic theme of THON, a student-led charity for pediatric cancer at his alma mater, Penn State. Being a gamer and his spirit of giving would soon mix to create something bigger than he could ever imagine.
In 2019, G-Haven eSports was created as a means to bring people together through video gaming and lead the mission of gaming with a purpose. Dexter believes that gaming is a platform that should be used to not only connect people but as a vehicle to create positive social impact. With that in mind, through his leadership, G-Haven, now Game4Good, is positioning itself to set the example for the next generation of gamers and thought leaders in the space.
