Jeremy Kraut-Ordover has more than a decade of senior leadership experience in philanthropy, with concentrated focus on education and health matters. Emboldened by the impact of transformational philanthropy, Jeremy is motivated by the intersection of those with need, those with the ability to help, and organizations focused on bringing the two closer together.
The son of an Army veteran, Kraut-Ordover was raised in Westchester County, NY. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. His career includes serving as the Associate Director of Development for California Western School of Law, Major Gift Officer for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Director of Development and Campaign Strategist for University Hospitals Health System (Cleveland, OH), Vice President of Individual Giving at Habitat for Humanity International, and Chief Development & Growth Officer at the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
During his time at Phoenix Children’s, Kraut-Ordover secured over $28 million in private support for the hospital, and in Cleveland he was the architect for the reorganization of University Hospitals’ Annual and Special Giving programs across an 11 medical center system, leading to a 165% growth in solicited gifts under $100,000. Under his leadership, Habitat experienced a more than 8x growth in solicited major gifts from individuals. At MDA, Kraut-Ordover was charged with modernizing approaches to fundraising and growing the team of front-line fundraisers who carry MDA’s message to donors of all sizes. He is a Certified Fundraising Executive, having achieved certification in 2007.
Kraut-Ordover resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his husband Calvin Goetz, CEO of Strategy Financial Group. In addition to his role with Habitat, Kraut-Ordover serves on the boards of OpenIntro, the Kellenberger + Tollefson Center for LGBTQ Philanthropy at the Arizona Community Foundation, Hillel at Goucher College, as well as the capital campaign cabinet for Goucher.
