Kia Croom is the CEO of Kia Croom Fundraising & Philanthropy. She’s been a frontline fundraiser for 20+ years and has raised over $400M for Black-led nonprofits nationwide. In 2021 Kia launched the Black Fundraisers’ Podcast to elevate and promote narrative change for Black Fundraisers. She also founded the nonprofit organization Fundraising in Black to help Black and Brown-led nonprofits transform their fundraising capacity to improve outcomes in communities of color. Kia holds an MS in Public Administration from Kennesaw State University, a certificate in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion from Cornell University, a certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from Pepperdine University, and will soon earn a digital marketing credential from Northwestern University.
